6 automakers part of massive recall of 3.4 million airbags
At least 200,000 vehicles affected in Canada
General Motors, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda and BMW are recalling about 3.4 million vehicles worldwide, including more than 200,000 vehicles in Canada, due to a problem with a Japanese supplier’s airbags — the inflator may burst and send plastic pieces everywhere.
The affected airbags all came from Takata Corp. They may deploy with too much pressure, causing the interior to rupture and possibly send out projectiles.

Honda is recalling 1.1 million vehicles, including more than 107,000 in Canada, and Toyota is recalling 1.7 million vehicles, including 75,000 in Canada. Honda says it knows of one crash attributed to the airbag problem, but no one was injured or killed in relation to that incident.

Forgotten Automotive Fluids could cost you dearly
There are many automotive fluids that need regular changing not just your engine oil.
Most car owners nowadays are well aware of the fact that the engine oil and filter need to be changed on a regular occurrence to save your motor from an early death and unnecessary premature wear.
However a lot of people do not realize that there are other vital expensive components in their vehicle that also have oil or fluid that should be changed regularly as well to save money over the long haul.
These other Auto Fluids are;

Differential Fluid
Transfer case fluid if four wheel drive
Brake Fluid
The price to repair and or replace the components lubricated by these fluids can
easily cost $500.00 – $4000.00
As a minimum follow the car manufactures recommendations for when to replace
or flush these fluids.

your car or truck for more than 5 years, I suggest changing out these fluids at
mileages between 60,000 kilometers to 80,000 kms.

These fluids should be checked for proper level and any contamination on
each engine oil change.
